against more expensive locales
like Tokyo, Osaka, London and
Moscow – the world's four most
expensive cities. But Gotham
easily dwarfed other North
American cities like Los
Angeles, which was the second
most expensive city on the
continent, but 44th in the
world. The survey included 144
cities, and measured daily
realities like housing,
transportation and food."
