  Neighborhood Market Conditions

Second Quarter 2006 Generally the West Side market has stabilized — sorry buyers, no bubble bursting here! We have slightly eased price points, more inventory to show, sellers who are now willing to negotiate and plenty of buyers calling, shopping and bidding. Seems like what I know as a “normal” market. I expect the summer to be busy; buyers want to purchase in a more “buyer friendly” market where prices are favorable and before the interest rates go any higher. There are pockets of low inventory in the West Side: Most notably lean is the inventory in the grand, high end prewar properties.
